David Lee Bailey, 44, of Dunmor, passed away Tuesday, September 29 in Ohio County as the result of a traffic accident. He was born in Daviess County to Jerry and Judy Bailey.
David was a Union Boilermaker for more than 18 years. He had also been a truck driver. David was a proud and outstanding member of the Barbarossa Motorcycle Club. He was an artist with the ability to draw, paint and make about anything out of steel. David also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and turning wrenches, especially on his motorcycle. He was a loyal, hardworking man with a big heart who will be missed by many.
David was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Bailey in 2008 and his son, Cody Lee Bailey in 2012.
He is survived by his mother, Judy Bailey of Owensboro; fiance', Susan West of Dunmor; children, Chelsie and Dylan Murray of Dunmor; a grandchild expected in May; brothers, Jerry Wayne Bailey and Douglas Witt, III, both of Owensboro; a special godchild, Sonnie David Moon Witt; a niece, Brittany Bailey; great-niece, Braylee Timmons; aunts, Linda Julius, Dianna Duke and Vicki Mackling; an uncle, Virgil Duke, Jr.; a special nannie, Betty Brockwell; and many cousins.
The funeral service will be 2 PM, Sunday, October 4 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Saturday from 1-6 PM and Sunday after 12 at the funeral home.
