Mr. Darrick Ray Lindsey, 23, of Owensboro, died Sunday, May 13, 2001. The Daviess County native was a member of Glenville Baptist Church; a 1996 graduate of Apollo High School; and was an Army veteran who served in Haiti with the 82nd Airborne. Darrick loved all types of auto racing, hunting, sports, and home renovation. He was a certified open water diver.
He survived by his father and step-mother, Ronald and Susan Lindsey of Owensboro; his mother, Sandra Knight Lindsey of Owensboro; 2 sisters, Margie Baylis of Owensboro and Kimberly Merwine of Tower City, PA; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Fulkerson of Sacremento, KY; his paternal grandmother, Zella Quinn of Sturgis, KY; 2 nephews, Keith Montgomery of Owensboro and Tristan Merwine of Tower City, PA; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 17, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M., Wednesday, May 16, 2001 and after 8:30 A.M., Thursday.
