Darrell Brown Daniels

Darrell Brown Daniels, 76, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, under the care of Hospice of W. Kentucky. The Hancock County native was born May 31, 1947, to the late Brown Daniels and Rachel Voyles Daniels. Darrell attended Hancock County High School and received his HVAC training at Kentucky Tech Vocational School. Darrell was a very outgoing, light-hearted, and positive person who was also compassionate and loved to tell stories. He had a mischievous streak that led him to pull practical jokes on others. Darrell was an avid collector of guns and coins. He loved watching old westerns and spending time spoiling his grandchildren, who affectionately called him Papaw. Darrell was a man of faith who loved his wife and family. 

 In addition to his parents, Darrell also was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Daniels.

 Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Cora Deckard Daniels; two sons, Greg Daniels (Jennifer) and Kevin Daniels (Brittany); four grandchildren, Zachary (Danielle), Cameron, Brayden, and Briana Daniels, all of Owensboro; brother, Joe Daniels (Tammy).   

 The funeral will be noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
