Danny T. Small

Danny T. Small, Jr., 47, of Utica, died on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Heartford House after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Owensboro to Danny (Sr.) and Elaine Small.

Danny was a 1984 graduate of Daviess County High and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In 1998 he became employed at C.B.I. (A contractor for A.K. Steel) where he most recently worked as a supervisor. Danny was good with technology and especially enjoyed computer games.

He was preceded in death by his father, Danny T. Small, Sr in December of 2013.

Danny is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rita Faye (Wright) Small, step-sons, Craig Preston (Amber), Drew Preston (Jessica) and Byron Preston; step-daughter, Jessica Preston; step-granddaughters, Ava , Camyrn and Delaney Preston and Izzy Taylor; step-grandsons, Will and Dylan Carmen and Hunter Greathouse; mother, Elaine Small; sisters, Stephanie Lancaster and Kim Roebuck (Joey); brother, Jeff Small (Valerie); and several nieces and nephews, all of Owensboro.

The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 12 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bro. Jason Mayfield will officiate. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and after noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
