Daniel Joseph Stemple II

Daniel Joseph Stemple II, 55, of Owensboro, passed away July 4, 2026. He was born in Dover, Ohio on October 24, 1970, to Daniel Joseph Stemple, who preceded him in death, and Barbara Tatliak Stemple. Danny was a long-time union millwright. He loved to talk, never met a stranger, and enjoyed a good day on the golf course. Danny was a fan of all kinds of sports but remained faithful to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns. Above all, Danny enjoyed spending time with his family and his two boys.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-seven years, Julie Fuqua Stemple; sons, Brenton Stemple and Drew Stemple (Allison White); mother, Barbara Tatliak Swinderman; mom, Barbara Stemple; siblings, Rene (Chris) Johnson, Kenneth (Amanda) Stemple, and Brian (Ruth) Swinderman, several nieces and nephews and his fur-baby companion, Annabelle “Hazey” Hazel.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family would like to thank the staff at DaVita Healthcare, especially Candace, Mikey and all others with GRITS Transportation, and the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky for their kindness, patience, and help in caring for Danny.
