Danny Millay, 54, of Whitesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born November 6, 1962 in Daviess Co. Danny had worked in maintenance at Owensboro Grain for 35 years. He was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church and had served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed doing many things including hunting fishing, camping, horseback riding, barbequing, and traveling, especially the ocean and laying on the beach. He especially loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren who knew him as "Pepaw". Danny also enjoyed Nascar and was a Dale Earnhardt fan and loved his dogs, Bear and Chloe.
Danny is survived by his wife, Debbie Hamilton Millay, two daughters, Holly Davis and husband Brian of Philpot and their children, Mallory and Collin Davis, and Courtney Murphy and fiancé Kyle Martin of Ohio Co., his parents, Gordon "Dub" and Evelyn Millay of Whitesville, brothers and sisters, Billy (Connie) Millay of Falls of Rough, Joe (Kim) Millay of Ohio Co., Jan (Bean) Lanham of Knottsville, Jean Wellman of Owensboro, Kay (Willie) Williams of South Carolina, Marybeth Millay of Mayfield, and Melissa "Buffy" Payne of Owensboro, his mother and father-in-law, Elizabeth and Jerry Hamilton of Owensboro, a brother-in-law, Kevin (Shannon) Hamilton of Owensboro, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 10, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 8:30 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. There will be a time of sharing at 6:30 P.M. Thursday. Private committal services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery.
Debbie and the family has requested that everyone that has a "Team Danny" T-shirt to please wear it to the visitation on Thursday.
