Daniel A. Clark, Jr., 56, of Owensboro died Saturday, September 11, 2004 at his home. Born August 5, 1948 in Anniston, Alabama, he was Founder and President of HARD HAT Knives and Flashlights and a 30 year traveling member as Journeyman Wireman with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Mr. Clark was a former Sunday School teacher and a Deacon of First Baptist Church. He was an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster; coached soccer and baseball; lifetime member of the National Knife Collectors Association; and member of the Yellow Banks Masonic Lodge #957, Ensor Lodge #239, Joe Davis Chapter #32, Owenbsoro
Council #34, and Owensboro Commandry #15. He was recipient of the Knight Cross of Honor, and the Cliff Hagan Man and Youth Award in 1987. He was also a Gideon, Promise Keeper, and Army veteran serving from 1968 to 1970. He loved his wild shirts, boating and Rock and Roll music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Margaret Bell Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kaye ; two sons, Daniel A. Clark, III and Alex Clark both of Ownsboro.
Funeral services are 3 P.M. Monday, September 13, 2004 at First Baptist Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 1-6 P.M. on Sunday and after 9 A.M. on Monday. A masonic service will be held a 6 P.M. Sunday.
