Daniel A. Blandford

Daniel A. Blandford, 76, of Owensboro passed away Sunday July 15, 2018 at his home. Mr. Blandford was born December 28, 1941 in Daviess County to the late Damien and Hilda Blandford. Dan graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School (class of 1960). He worked and retired from Big Rivers Electric Corporation in the maintenance department. Dan was a member of IBEW Local 1701.
He was a hard worker who was always helping others. Dan loved to work in his vegetable garden and share the fruits of his labor with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Janis Blandford; son, James "Jimmy" Blandford, wife Michelle and son Luke of Louisville; son, Mike Blandford, wife Melissa, and sons Jack and Ben of Wheaton, Illinois; brothers, John (Esther) Blandford, David Blandford, Kenneth (Virginia) Blandford all of Owensboro; sister, Peggie (Steve) Reynolds also of Owensboro; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be 10:00 am Thursday at Immaculate Catholic Church with Father Ray Goetz officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 till 7:00 pm with prayers at 6:30 and Thursday from 8:30 till 9:30 am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
