Daniel "Fuzz" Blair

Daniel "Fuzz" Blair, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Wellington Parc. He was born June 1, 1946 in Daviess Co. to the late John Phillip and Mary Emma Murphy Blair. Fuzz was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he had been on the cooking team for many years. He retired from Century Aluminum as an overhead crane operator. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #817 for 30 years. He went to St. Peter School in Stanley his first four years, to St. Augustine School in Reed his next four years, and then to Owensboro Catholic High School where he graduated. Fuzz was also preceded in death by a grandson, Noah Jude Blair, two brothers, Jerome Clyde Blair and John T. Blair, and a brother-in-law, Dennis Peerman.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Lucy Edge Blair; son Jude (Laura Renee) Blair of Utica and their children, Nate, Nick, and Eli; son Ralph (Michele) Blair of Philpot and their children, twins Ross and Macie; daughter, Tasha (Steve) Thomas of Crestwood, and their children Jordan (Alyssa), Connor, and Trent; brothers and sisters, Jerome (Bonnie) Blair of Stanley, Mike (Elsie) Blair of Reed, Ben (Stanette) Blair of Newman, Mary (John) Jones of Owensboro, Tom (Janie) Blair of Owensboro, Angela Peerman of Newman, and Robert (Gail) Blair of Newman.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 16, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 7:00 P.M. and from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
