Dale Joseph Crawford, 72, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at his home. Born in Detroit, MI on May 29, 1935 to the late Douglas Edward and Josephine Seewald Crawford, Mr. Crawford retired from K-Mart where he was a buyer; was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; was a Navy veteran; and enjoyed refinishing homes, reading and traveling. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy A. Crawford in 1985, a daughter, Theresa A. Lowe, and a sister, Doris Schuler.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Carolyn Boice Crawford; sons, Douglas E. Crawford of Tennessee and Scott M. Crawford of Michigan; daughters, Kim F. Davis of Ohio and Bonnie J. Freeman of Owensboro; step-sons, Rick W. Kerr of South Carolina and Bryent Kerr of Texas; step-daughters, Pamela Aiken and Wendy Hightower of Texas and Heidi Long of Washington; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Dennis Crawford of Arkansas and a sister, Beverly Nollett of Michigan.

Services are 2 P.M. Sunday, September 16, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father John Meredith officiating. Military honors will be rendered at Owensboro Memorial Gardens following the mass. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. on Saturday and after on 12:00 P.M. Noon on Sunday.
