Dalcie Adeline Robertson, 79, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Wellington Parc. Born in McLean County at Poplar Grove, a daughter of the late Bernice and Leona Durbin Mattingly, Mrs. Robertson was a graduate of Calhoun High School. She had been the secretary of the Daviess County Vocational School and later served as a babysitter, caring for those for whom she sat as her own. Her interests included bowling and gardening. As a child she was a member of the Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and in Owensboro was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dean Bratcher
Mrs. Robertson is survived by her husband, Samuel Hagan Robertson; her daughters, Dot Conklin and husband Keith of Owensboro, Bobbie Oates and husband Bill of Texas, and Becky Warren and husband Stuart of Bowling Green; her sons, Don Robertson and wife Kelly of Bowling Green and Gil Robertson and wife Patty of Virginia; ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Robertson, officiated by Rev. Tim McGuire, is 12:00 noon Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
