Cynthia S. Stevens

Cynthia S. Stevens, 62, of Owensboro passed away at her residence. She was born in Cicero, Indiana to the late John and Maxine Whisman.

Cynthia graduated from Anderson University.

She owned and operated a truck accessory store, Discount Parts, in Owensboro and attended Owensboro Christian Church.

Cynthia was an avid golfer and a member of Windridge Country Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, William Stevens in 1995 and her parents.

Cynthia is survived by a daughter, Amy Stevens of Owensboro; a son, Tony Stevens of Simsbury, Connecticut; a sister, Charlotte Russell (Floyd) of Owensboro; nephew, Steve Russell and his children, Stefanie and Nick; another nephew, David Russell (Lisa) and their children, Lexi and Cole; a step daughter, Debbie Zavitz and her son, Ryan Zavitz (Bethany).


The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 21 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Myke Templeton will officiate. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
