Curtis Neal "Turkey" Boling, 79, of Utica, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at his home. Curtis was born in Hancock County to the late Lester and Alma (Huff) Boling. He was also preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Olivia Wimp. He retired from Buttes Oil Company, and a member of Utica United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing Rook, and watching U.K. Basketball.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Muffett) Boling, a daughter, Cheryl (Bill) Wimp of Owensboro, grandson, Curt (Megan) Wimp great-granddaughter, Kaylee Wimp, a brother, Charles Boling of Owensboro, and a sister, Mamie Fuqua of Fordsville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Ron Wells and Jimmy Bunch officiating. Burial will be in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 11 a.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
