Curran Eugene Perry, 81, of Rockport, IN., died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at his home. He was the owner of Perry's Pest Control for 65 years, and a past president of the Kentucky Pest Control Association. He was born in Yankeetown, Indiana to the late Earl C. and Ada Kay (Barnett) Perry. He was a member of the Owensboro Optimist Club, member of the Rockport Masonic Lodge and Hadi Shrine. He was a former Business Owner of the Year, involved with the Boy's Club, and an Admiral of the Kentucky Colonels. He enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a former stock car driver.
Curran was preceded in death by a son, Steve in 2003, as well as three brothers and five sisters.
Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Joyce Mae (Wilson) Perry of Rockport, and his children, Clinton Perry of Newburgh, IN., Sara Perry of Noblesville, IN., Susan Perry of Crestwood, Ky., Ken (Michelle) Perry of Newburgh, In., Julia Bailey of Lacey, WA., Kelley Perry and Kenneth Arron Perry both of Rockport, grandchildren, Nick Riley of Philadelphia, PA., Tyler Perry of Louisville, KY., Laura Stephens of Newburgh, Amie Perry of Chicago, IL., Dru Perry of Evansville, IN., Lindsay Perry Konduris of Noblesville, Jason Cundiff of Clarksville,TN., Lucianio and Gianna Perry of Newburgh, and a sister, Ethel Morris of Boonville, IN.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Bates Cemetery, Yankeetown, Indiana. There will be no visitation .The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
