Crystal Dawn Connor

Crystal Dawn Payne Connor, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on December 6, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.
Crystal was born in Owensboro, KY on November 13, 1970. She graduated from Owensboro High School and continued on to receive an Associate in Art from OCTC.
Crystal worked as a Special Needs Teacher' Aide for Daviess County Schools for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, friends and family. She was also actively involved in church.
Crystal is preceded in death by Mother, Emma Swift, 2 sons, Nicholas Payne Johnson and Brandon Payne Johnson, a niece, Breanna Ebelhar, her grandparents Carlton and Mary Payne, and several uncles and aunts.
Crystal is survived by her daughter Siera, her dad, Harold Swift, her sisters Janet (Jeff Ebelhar) Rice of Owensboro, Mischelle (Don) Simon, Melanie (Steve) Nave a brother Tim Payne of Hopkinsville, a step-sister Vicki (Jimbo) Ellis of Owensboro, 2 Step brothers Barry (Dara) Swift of North Carolina, Steven (Deanie) May of Pennsylvania, Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, her best friend Christi Midkiff and other family and friends.
The family of Crystal wishes to thank Hospice for all their care and kindness, the Mitchell Cancer Center for all their help and support, and the Nursing staff on Oncology for all the caring and support shown to us during our time of need.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Carl McCarthy and Myke Templeton officiating services. Interment will follow at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Cemetery in Whitesville, KY. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00 until 5:00PM and after 12:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
