Conrad Michael "Mike" Schaad

Conrad Michael "Mike" Schaad, 67, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born April 28, 1952 in Evansville to the late Conrad and Mary Tenbarge Schaad, Mike graduated from Memorial High School and received his Bachelor's degree in Criminology from University of Evansville. He retired from the Owensboro Police Department and the Kentucky State Park system working at both Ben Hawes and Audubon State Parks and was currently employed with the Owensboro Transit System. Mike first loved his God and then his family, especially his five grandchildren. He was a devoted member of Pleasant Valley Community Church where he served in several capacities. He was also involved with the food pantry at both Kings Table and St. Benedict's. Having a strong work ethic, Mike was always helping others when needs arose. He loved playing card and board games with the family, animals and UK basketball.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 43 years, Louise Dewig Schaad; daughters, Nicole Marie Mier and husband Jeff of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jennifer Lynn Soules and husband Jermaine of Lexington; son, Brian Michael Schaad and wife Tiffeney of Cynthiana; grandchildren, Miles Schaad, Lily Mier, Evelyn Schaad, Elliot Schaad, and Jasmine Starks; brothers, Keith Schaad (Susan) of Carlitas, California, John Powell (Kelli), Tom Powell (Shelly); sister, Jane Laib all of Evansville; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Mike Schaad will be noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 and Friday from 10:00 am until time of service. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
