Conrad "Mousie" English, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, October 26, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 27, 1926 in McLean Co., KY to the late Henry and Mamie Hinton English. Conrad was retired from the former Owensboro River Sand and Gravel Co. (Yager Materials) after 31 years in 1979. He was a towboat pilot and supervisor. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #696. He was also preceded in death by a his son, Michael Ray English on January 30, 2010, and three sisters, Gladys Wood, Anna Lee Keller, and Commie Crowe.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Vance English, two daughters, Sandra L. English of Washington State and Debra Graham and husband Rick of Owensboro, a grandson, Jeremy Heath English of Owensboro, and three great grandchildren, Sierra Faye, Hailie Jo, and Emma Grace English, all of Owensboro.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 29 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
