Colleen Joy Roberts Remole

Colleen Joy Roberts Remole, 90, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  She was born December 5, 1933 in Ohio County to the late Renzie and Marcelia Hoover King.  Colleen was retired from Owensboro City Schools as a bus driver and was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, crafts, and raising a vegetable garden.  She also was an avid U.K. basketball and Atlanta Braves fan.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

 Colleen was also preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Richard Roberts, Sr. on November 16, 1974 and Earl Remole on March 28, 2009; a son, Thomas Richard Roberts, Jr. on November 10, 2012; and a brother and sister, Richard Cecil Oberst, Jr. and Anna Lee Cottrell.

 Surviving are five children, Timothy Renzie Roberts (Diane), Mark Anthony Roberts (Debbie), Joy Roberts Bowlds (Garry), Ron William Roberts (Lori), and William Wesley Roberts, all of Owensboro; 21 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren; and a brother, Hardin L. Oberst of California.

 The funeral Mass will be 10 AM Monday, June 17 at St. Martin Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 2 PM until 6 PM Sunday with prayers at 5:30 PM and from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
