Clyde Thomas Willis, of Owensboro, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at Fern Terra. He was born in Greenville, Kentucky to the late Jimmie Estil and Betty Lorene Wills Willis. Mr. Willis lived most of his life in Hopkinsville and spent some time in Melbourne, FL before moving to Owensboro to be closer to his nephew, Jeff. He worked for Williams Chevrolet in Hopkinsville and in sales for Clark Distributing, was a member of First Baptist Church of Owensboro and the Elks Club of Hopkinsville where he had served as Exalted Ruler, and he loved UK basketball. He was also preceded in death by his wife Joan Hale Willis in 2009 and brothers, William Ray Willis, Harold Dean Willis, and Dellis Willis
Survivors include his nephew, Jeff Willis and his wife Mary Beth of Owensboro; brother, Benny Willis and his wife Gayle of Bowling Green; nieces, Suzie Horner and her husband Larry of Owensboro, Paula James of Birmingham, AL, and Kelly Goodwin of Benton, AR; and other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Weir, Kentucky. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
