Clifton Remy Clark

October 1, 1946 — June 4, 2011

Clifton Remy "Bud" Clark, 64, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, June 4, 2011 after a long, hard battle with cancer. Born October 1, 1946 in Whitesville, he was the son of the late Cosmas "Dick" and Helen Russelburg Clark; was the owner and operator of Cliff's Tidy Lawn care for many years and had previously worked at Barmet Aluminum and American Olean Tile Company. Mr. Clark was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed family gathering, watching sports, and playing with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Barr and Rita Russell, infant brother and sister, Patrick and Joann, and a sister-in-law, Eileen Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda Ann Elliott Clark, children, Craig (Sandy) Davis of Leitchfield, Gelita Wheatley of Owensboro, and Becky (Doug) Rowans of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Brandon (Angie) Davis, Shane (Katherine) Davis, Chyrstal Sadler, Brad (Tiffany) Wheatley, Ricky (Sarah) Wheatley, Tiffany (Matt) Rowans, Courtney Davis, Karrie Davis, Cierra Davis, Raley Davis, and Dalton Rowans; great-grandchildren, Brayden Davis, Nevaeh Wheatley, Ariane Wheatley, Hailey Mattingly, Remi Davis, Skyla Davis, and Braxton Moseley Wheatley; brothers, Curt Clark of Channahon, IL, Justin (Minnie) Clark of Philpot, Jamie (Peggy) Clark of Whitesville, Joe (Mary Jane) Clark, Frank (Susie) Clark, and Kenny (Angie) Clark all of Owensboro; and a multitude of nieces and nephews and many, many friends

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro with Father John Meredith officiating followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors rendered by Ft Campbell and the VFW 696 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 5:30 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky or the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.
