Clifford Wells

Clifford Wells, 72, of 2069 Sussex Place, Owensboro, Kentucky, died Thrusday, March 14, 2002, at Owensboro Mercy Health System.

The Muhlenberg County, Kentucky native retired from General Motors as an area service manager for the Chevrolet Division, and from Engineering Analysis Associates of Detroit. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Maverick Sunday school class, enjoyed golf, collected antique cars, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Shirley Ann Melton Wells; a son, Robert Wells of Nashville; two daughters, Donna Flaspoehler of Owensboro, KY, and Dana Wells of Murray, KY; a sister, Margaret Wiggins of Winston-Salem, NC; and seven grandchildren.

Services are 7 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday.
