Cliffie Mae Rock Lee

Cliffie Mae Rock Lee, 83, of Owensboro died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Ohio County Hospital. Cliffie was a native of Ohio County, born July 1, 1927 to the late, Rowan and Margaret Ruth (Stalsworth) Rock. She was a longtime secretary for Daviess County High School, and retired from Daviess County High as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church, loved cardinals, covered bridges and being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. Cliffie had a very loving and helpful spirit about her all her life.
Her husband, John Dennis Lee Sr. also preceded her in death in 1973.
Surviving are her two sons, Denny (Joetta) Lee, and Mark (Jo Ann) Lee both of Owensboro, grandchildren, Brandon, Jason (Kasie), John, Jessi, Jenni, James Lee all of Owensboro, Eric Lee of Lexington, Aaron and Haley Ryan of Owensboro, Colin Lee of Murray, Ky. and Kaitlyn Lee of Danville, Ky, and a brother, Don Rock.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Donnie Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
