Clarice Ruby Smith

Clarice R. Smith, 87, of Masonville died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center of complications from Alzheimer disease. Born in Ohio Co., KY on April 15, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Harlan Wigginton and Ethel Lloyd Wigginton. Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Dale Smith in 1977 and a daughter, Nancy Carlene Smith in 1945.

Mrs. Smith was retired from Ken-Rad Corp. She was a charter member of Masonville Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for more than 15 years.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Archie J. Smith, a daughter, Peggy Parks of Masonville, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a brother, Dan Walton Wigginton of Riverhead, NY, and two sisters, Hettie Thompson of Pleasant Ridge and Anna Laura Medlin of Owensboro.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at Masonville Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Bruce Rendleman. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Ohio Co., KY.
