Clarence C.M. Murphy

Mr. C.M. Dick Murphy, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, September 30, 2005, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. He was born February 10, 1917 to the late Felix and Emma Thompson Murphy in Daviess County. He was a carpenter who had worked for many local contractors, and was a member of the Catholic Faith.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Murphy, who died in 1993.

Survivors include his wife of ten years, Mary Edith Murphy; two sons, Phil Murphy of LaVergne, TN, and Dick Murphy, Jr. of Tyler, TX; one step-daughter, Debra Pounds of Albuquerque, NM; four grandchildren, one step-grandchild; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, October 15, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Beulah Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:30 PM Saturday on the 15th at the funeral home.
