Clarence Hutchinson

Clarence "Gene" Hutchinson, 87, of Owensboro, went home to be with the Lord peacefully at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by family on March 27, 2014 at noon after suffering with Alzheimer's for 7 years. Clarence was a Navy Veteran and served in the Pacific during WWII. He was a member of St. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church for 44 years. Gene was easy going and enjoyed driving truck for a living. He spent many hours on the road, but when at home, his world was his wife and family.

Gene was preceded in death by his step sons, John Bartley and Larry Bartly Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Margaret Hutchinson, step son Randy (Angie) Bartley and a step daughter Beverly Goetz. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon on Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Carl McCarty officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
