Clare Charlotte Jenda

Clare Charlotte Jenda, 81 of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January 24, 2008 at her daughter's home after a valiant battle with cancer. Born August 24, 1926 in Syracuse, NY, Mrs. Jenda was the daughter of the late Walter and Stella Korczakowski; moved to Owensboro in 1981 where she worked at and later retired from Mercy Hospital as an insurance claims processor; was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church; and enjoyed singing, romantic movies, opera, crocheting, dining out, and drawing house plans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Jenda in 1981.

She is survived by daughters, Stasia Blackham and husband Joseph of Viera, FL, Carol Bulawa and husband Walter of Boise, ID, Victoria Meacham and husband Robert and Katherine Schrecker and husband Donald of Owensboro; grandchildren, Paul Blackham, Jennifer Szabo, Andrew Bulawa, Matthew Schrecker, Sam Meacham, Daniel Schrecker, and Emily Meacham; and brothers, Chester Korczakowski and Edward Korczakowski both of Syracuse, NY.

A funeral mass will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Immaculate Catholic Church. There will be no visitation. Glenn Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
