Clara Smith Sherman

Clara Mae Smith Sherman went to be with the Lord February 4, 2009 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 79. Born June 8, 1929 in Camp Verde, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Arthur & Lois Smith and was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin N. Sherman and a granddaughter, Paula Sherman.

Survivors include her son Nathan Sherman (Sandy) of San Antonio; daughters, Emma Crowe (Jerry) of Owensboro and Cathie Monsive (Mike Sr.) of San Antonio; 5 grandsons including, Chris (Erin) Crowe of Seaside, CA, Jason (Amanda) Crowe of Burlington, KY, and Stephen Crowe of Owensboro; 4 great grandchildren including, James Rowland Crowe of Burlington, KY ; numerous nieces and nephews, and oodles of friends.

Her fun loving spirit and contagious smile will be greatly missed. May her love of family and friends continue in her memory.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home in San Antonio. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home with the entombment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
