Clara Hall, 96, of Owensboro, KY passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Hermitage Care and Rehab. She was born November 18, 1920 to the late Gipson Thomas and Mary Catherine Wilhoyte. Clara was a member of Maceo Baptist Church where she proudly achieved a perfect attendance record in her Sunday School class. She enjoyed crocheting as a member of the Happy Hooker Crochet Club, was a wonderful cook, and loved gardening. Clara was a 38 year member of the Maceo Homemaker's Club. She was a cheerleader at Daviess County High School where she was voted most popular girl for the class of 1938. Clara was employed at GE (Kenrad) and also worked at Calico Corner. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Hall; her son, Tommy Hall; her brother, Charles Warner Wilhoyte; her sisters, Helen Gardner and Grace Roby; her great grandson, Jared Bean
Survivors include her daughter, Suzette Wimsatt (Pat) of Owensboro; her son, Stephen Wallace Hall (Susan) of Owensboro; her daughter-in-law, Margo Hall of Maceo; her grandchildren, Rodney, Scott, and Darin Bean, Wayne and Brandon Hall, Holly Lockhart, and Heather Gaddis; her 17 great grandchildren; her 6 great-great grandchildren
The service will be 2PM Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Scott Ford will officiate. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be 2-8PM Tuesday and 12 noon until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Maceo Baptist Church or Kelly Cemetery Fund.
