Clara Toomey Davis

Clara Toomey Davis, 81, (formerly of Owensboro) passed away Friday November,4, 2005, at her home in Leesburg, Florida, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Penrod, Kentucky, November 15, 1923 to the late Samuel Allen and Annie Wood Toomey, she was a devout member of the Church of Christ, and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to those who have known her in this life. She was preceded in death by brothers Willis, Dennis, and Dallas Toomey; and sisters Mabel Morgan and Nora DeArmond

Mrs. Davis is survived by a son Michael Davis; daughters Barbara and her husband Vincent Melanson, Pat and her husband Keith Klinger, Marchia and her husband Mackie Kuharske; former husband, Joe S. Davis; brothers Delbert and his wife Myrl Toomey and Wilbur and his wife Thelma Toomey; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.

Services are 11 A.M. Thursday at the Parrish Avenue Church of Christ in Owensboro officiated by Bruce House with burial following in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, November 9 and after 9 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home
