Cindy Craig

November 28, 1952 — August 19, 2016

Cindy Craig, 63, of Cadiz, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home. She was born November 28, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John Stuart and Elnora Pruitt Craig.

Cindy was able to fulfill her childhood dream of a career as a park ranger with the National Park Service. She loved the west and served at Mesa Verde, Zion, Natchez Trace and Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Parks. She also had a focus on forest fires and travelled nationally as part of a specialized team to fight fires. Cindy was known to have a dry wit and sense of humor. She loved animals and she and her sister made a memorable trip to the area affected by Hurricane Katrina to rescue animals. Cindy enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, collecting and traveling. Her trips included Europe and nearly every U.S. state including Hawaii and her favorite, Alaska. She fought a long battle with her health and will be dearly missed.

Cindy is survived by sisters, Janet Hodge and her husband Joe of Cadiz and Kay Robinson of Edmonton; nieces, Alexandra Robinson, Samantha James and her husband Ashlee; a nephew, Craig Hodge and his wife Kelsey; a great-nephew, Ezra Hodge and her beloved pets.

A private graveside service will be held at Siloam Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Christian County Kentucky P.O. Box 1233
