Christopher Dean Mcelwain

Christopher Dean McElwain, 39, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012. He was born on February 25, 1973 in Daviess Co., KY. He was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family especially his children and taking them to amusement parks. He also enjoyed cooking, riding his motorcycle, reading, swimming, and keeping up with friends on Facebook.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Royce McElwain on February 20, 1985, his grandparents, Gerald Dean and Lucy Parr, Margie House, Margaret and Henry Amos McElwain, a cousin, Hope Ann McElwain, and several aunts and uncles.

Surviving are his mother, Gayle McElwain of Owensboro, his children, Mason and Hayden McElwain, and their mother Ashley Thurman, all of Owensboro, a brother, Royce "Andy" (Sarah) McElwain of Owensboro, nieces Shelby and Sydney McElwain, both of Lynnville, IN, a special cousin, Carmen Fleming of Owensboro, and aunts and uncles, Sheila House, Kathi (Rick) Graves, Darrell (Sharon) McElwain, and Tony House, and many close friends.

Services will be 4:00 P.M. Monday, June 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday until time of services.
