Christina Faye Austin

Christina Faye Austin, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 59. She was born on October 14, 1965, in Daviess County.

Christina, also known as “Chris” always had a love for gardening and her yard was filled with the most beautiful of flowers. She had a deep affection for animals and shared a special bond with her beloved cats, Meow and Skippy.

Chris loved her job and spoke of it fondly as her passion for being a caregiver was undeniable. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved getting to spend time with them. She had a one of kind personality. Her free spirit and humor could brighten any room. She was a woman with courageous strength that will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Kellems, brother Jeff Kellems, and sisters Sandra Kellems and Tina Ault.

Surviving is her son, Jacob Austin (Miranda) and daughter, Jessica Austin (TJ) of Owensboro; her father, David Kellems and sister, Linda Kellems of Owensboro; Her grandchildren, Ella, Jaxton, Blakely and Teagan and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where family and friends will begin to gather at 3:00 p.m.
