Chestyne R. Maddox, 88, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Owensboro Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born May 9, 1920, to the late E. H. and Ella Maddox in Ohio County. He was an Army Veteran of WW II, a member of Masonville Baptist Church and retired from Bradley Body Shop in Beaver Dam after several years.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Freeda Maddox; his daughter, Brenda Maddox Coffey of Owensboro; a grandson, Chris Coffey and a granddaughter, Tani Coffey; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Adriana Coffey.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday and after 8:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
