Cheryl Kay Hill Johnston White, 58, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Louisville on May 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William Wallace and Eva Era Dell Hill; was a counselor with RiverValley Behavioral Health; and was a member of Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church. Mrs. White was a kind person who made a loving impact on many lives through her work. She was a suicide hotline counselor, gambling hotline counselor, and domestic violence counselor. Her love radiated through to those she touched in life and work.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth White; a son, Jeff (Teresa) Johnston of Owensboro; a daughter, Trish Patterson (Billy Howe) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Tara Fuller, Darren Johnston, Brandon Johnston, and Britney Johnston; great-grandchildren, Christian Fuller, Jordan Fuller, and Kaylee Fuller; a brother, Rob Hill of Owensboro; a sister, Sandy Chandler of Madisonville; and special nieces, Leslie Gardner and Nicole Jenkins.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Pleasant Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Davis officiating followed by burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
