Chelsea Morgan Carlisle

Chelsea Morgan Carlisle, 15, of Owensboro passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at her home. Ms. Carlisle was born November 7, 2000 in Henderson to Faith Ann Carlisle and Karl Vandergriff of Owensboro. Chelsea attended Daviess County and Henderson County High Schools. She was an honor student and enrolled in ROTC. Chelsea loved children and babysitting. A typical teenager, she had many friends in and out of school.

Chelsea was preceded in death by her great grandfather, Gordon Carlisle in 2010.

Survivors include her mother, Faith Ann Courtney and father, Karl Vandergriff; stepfather, Derek Courtney; sister, Ashton Lowe; brother, Hunter Courtney all of Owensboro; seven step brothers and sisters; aunt, April Carlisle; cousins, Hannah and Elijah Weikel; three uncles and one aunt on her father's side; four great uncles on her mother's side; grandmothers, Katherine Bullard and Fredia Forsythe both of Owensboro; grandfather, Brian Carlisle of Reed; great grandparents, James Allen and Anna Morris of Newman, Juanita "Penny" Carlisle of Hartford.

The service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 10 at Beals Pentecostal Church with Brother Barry Skaggs officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 at Glenn Funeral Home and from 9:00 at the church. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Reed, KY.
