Charlotte Norris Jones

Charlotte Norris Jones, 79, of Owensboro passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Whitesville, KY on September 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Rollie and Amy Holland Norris; was retired from General Electric where she worked for more than 44 years; and was an active member of Hall Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Jones enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid KY Wesleyan and UK basketball fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. "Bill" Jones and brothers, Sam Norris and Rollie Norris, Jr.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bobbie McCormick of Poole, KY; a sister, Nancy Howard and her husband George of Owensboro; and a brother, Louis Ray Norris and his wife Judy of Owensboro.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday, February 3, 2011 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Steve Granger officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
