Charlotte R. Hein

Charlotte Hein, 76, of 708 Canterbury Road, Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 05, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on January 2, 1925.

Mrs. Hein retired as a secretary from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, working under Reverend Victor Boarman. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, volunteered at the Help Office and was a member of the Altar Society. She loved antique shopping, reading, being with her children and grandchildren, and was a big fan of Owensboro Catholic High Softball.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Gene Hein; two sons, Gregory Hein of Louisville and John Hein of Owensboro; two daughters, Betsy Jones of Owensboro and Carrie Hein of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren; one brother, Albert Laub, Jr. of Owensboro; two sisters, Mary Ann Montgomery of Owensboro and Betty Jo Laub of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2001 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, officiated by Father Tony Jones and Father John Meredith. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2001 and after 11:00 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Prayers will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
