Charles W. Wilson, 87, of Owensboro, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. He was born November 24, 1919 to the late Ezra and Thelma OBannon Wilson in Daviess County. He was a member of Parrish Avenue Baptist Church, and was a journeyman electrician for over 50 years. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dora Lee Locke Wilson on August 29, 1971, a brother, Forest Edward Wilson and two sisters, Amanda Clark and Polly Brackin.

Survivors include his son, David B. Bo Wilson and his wife, Beckye of Mary Esther, FL; his daughter, Charlene Magan and her husband, Larry of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Greg Wilson of Mary Esther, FL, Pamela Barron and her husband, Tony of Murray, Tessa Biondolillo of Tampa, FL and David Brian Wilson, II of Mary Esther, FL; his sister, Nina Midkiff and her husband,Willis of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens, with Military Services by VFW Post 696. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and after 8:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Parrish Avenue Baptist Church, 2339 Parrish Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301 or Yellow Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 5741 Hwy 144, Owensboro, KY 42303.
