Charles Bernard Severs, 83, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home. He was born on December 21, 1928 in Daviess Co., KY to the late James and Mary Hamilton Severs. He had been attending Crosspointe Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver having worked for Billy Joe Gaddis Excavating. Charles enjoyed eating out and drinking coffee with friends at Hardee's. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Jo Abel and Marge Beals, a brother, James Severs, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his first wife, Emaline Severs.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Lois Jean Hoosier Severs, four sons, Charles Henry Severs, Paul Glenn Severs, Charles Bernard Severs, Jr., and Kenny Ray Severs, all of Owensboro, two daughters, Lovie Renee Cotton of Owensboro and Jackie Gayle Hudspheth of Missouri, 15 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
Private services will be held at a later time. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
