Charles C. Powers

Mr. Charles C. Powers, 82, of Owensboro, died Monday, September 19, 2005, at Harborside Health Care Center. He was born April 27, 1923 to the late Ambrose H. Sixty and Florence Helen Mattingly Powers in Daviess County. He retired from General Electric after 30 years of service, was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Sixty Powers, and an infant sister, Doris Rebecca Powers.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jeannetta Pagan Powers; two sisters, Barbara Fowler of Owensboro and Rachael Hatfield of Chicago, IL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at St. Pius X Catholic Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Military Honors will be given by VFW Post # 696.
