Charles E. Newcomb

Charles E. Newcomb, 80, of Henderson, passed away, December 20, 2014 at his home. He was born in Hartford, to the late Hayward and Martine Newcomb. Charles was a fisherman and also enjoyed old cars. He loved making birdhouses and enjoyed collecting items. Charles was a hard worker, with waking up before dawn and would work until dusk.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Joshua Newcomb.

Survivors include, daughters, Michelle Johnson (John) of Evansville and Dana Lancaster (Brad) of Henderson; grandchildren Charlie Goodson, John Goodson, and Jessica Aull; great-grandchildren, Devin, Dusty, and Madyson; brother, Jerry Newcomb (Wanda) of Philpot; sister, Brenda West (Ralph) of Hendersonville, TN; nephews, Scott Newcomb, Bret Newcomb, and Jason West; and nieces, Kristi Martin and Gena Trice.

Services will be 2:00PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 10:00 - until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Anthony Hospice. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
