Charles T. "Tom" Moss

Charles T. "Tom" Moss, 77, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Daviess County to the late Charles Emmett and Lola D. Sandefur Moss.

After 25 years of service, Mr. Moss retired from Commonwealth Aluminum where he had served as a purchasing agent and manager. Following retirement, he and his wife moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where he was a member of First Baptist Church and made many great friends. Upon returning to Owensboro, Mr. Moss attended Owensboro Christian Church. He had a passion for golf. He never met a stranger and his many friends really enjoyed his great sense of humor (Leroy).

He was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Spain and Mina Smith; and a brother, Herbert Moss.

Mr. Moss is survived by his wife of 50 years, Barbara "Bobbi" Moss; a step-daughter, Lisa Brandle and her husband, Rick; sons, Larry Moss, Terry Moss and his wife, Leann, both of Owensboro; step-sons, Michael Phelps and his wife, Toni of Palm Coast, Florida and Brent Phelps and his wife, Tammy of Daytona Beach, Florida; ten grandchildren, Lexi, Camille, Emily, Lindsey, Kyle, Chad, Lacey, Tara, Jessica and Austin; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Wilhoite of Owensboro.

The service will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Dr. Dennis McFadden will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. The private burial will be at Bethel Church Cemetery in Beach Grove, Kentucky.
