Charles Wendell Merritt

Charles Wendell Merritt, Jr., 53, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on April 12, 1960 in Daviess Co., KY. Charles was employed by Tom's Auto Parts and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wendell Merritt, Sr. in 1984 and a sister, Debra Westerfield in 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Heifner, children, MacKenzie Heifner and Scotty Heifner, both of Owensboro, his mother, Shirley Merritt Faught of Owensboro, a sister, Tina (Joey) VanBussum of Maceo, a brother, Randall Merritt of Utica, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 18, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
