Charles F. Lee

Charles Sonny Lee, 66, of 5958 Macedonia Road, Owensboro, formerly of Atlanta, GA, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born August 24, 1937, to the late Loy and Anna Lee, in Atlanta, GA. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, retired from Acme Lock and Key,was a self-employed safe mechanic. Sonny was a member of the Safe and Vault Technical Association, the American Locksmiths of America, AA, NA, and had a strong passion for hunting.

Survivors include his wife of fourteen years, Susan Lee of Owensboro; one son Loy and his wife, Allison Lee of Douglasville, GA; one step-son, Tim Murphy of Owensboro, two step-daughters, Kristy Murphy of Owensboro, Rachelle and her husband Ted Lanham of Cleveland, OH; six grandchildren, Abby Murphy, Madeline and Molly Lanham, Bridget, Chris, and Erica Ewald; two brothers, Russell and Mike Lee, both of Douglasville, GA; one sister, LoyAnn Archilles of Dallas, TX.

Funeral services will be 5:30 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and after 9:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
