Charles Bronie Kimbley

Charles Bronie Kimbley, 67, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 6 ,2010 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Owensboro, July 15, 1943 to William and Christine (Ashton ) Kimbley. He was employed at Field Packing Company for 42 years, and a member of Southeast Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to flea markets, eating out, and visiting with his longtime friends, Jerry and Dorretha Sadler of Lewisport. His father, William Kimbley and a brother, Larry Kimbley preceded him in death.
Surviving is his loving wife of 21 years, Sue Kimbley, and he was blessed with a step-son, Chris (Karen) Rostron of Owensboro, and four grandchildren,whom he loved dearly, and who called him "Papaw Bronie", Lauren, Taylor, Ryan and Shelby Rostron, his mother, Christine Kimbley of Lawrenceburg, TN., five sisters and a brother, Marie (Cliff) Berkley of Henderson, Ky., Judy (Dennis) Carter of Spottsville, Martha (Eugene) Hoofer of Bowling Green, Wanda (Jack) McDuffy of Alvaton, Darlene (George) Luttrell of Owensboro, and Max (Judith) Kimbley of Lawrenceburg, TN., and a sister-in-law Connie Kimbley of Lakeland, FL.
Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Randy Stallengs officiating. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
