Charles Anthony Higdon, 54, of 610 E. 23rd Street, Owensboro, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at his home. The Daviess County native retired from Hawesville Elementary School as a teacher and had also taught at Lourdes Elementary. He was a member of St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro and had received a bachelor's degree from Brescia University and a master's degree from Murray State University.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathryn Renee Higdon, Brittney Leigh Higdon and Kimberly Ellen Higdon, all of Madisonville; three brothers, John W. Higdon of Owensboro, Larry Higdon of Island and W. Frederick Higdon of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and two sisters, Joellen Ivey and Helena Schultz, both of Paducah.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at St Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro.
