Charles Mayo Henson, Jr., 47 died Friday, December 12, 2003 in Owensboro. The Cincinnati, OH native was a self-employed roofer and enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Polly Henson, Sr. and a sister, Maggie Henson.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sue Hurley Henson; six sons, Ricky Henson, Charles Henson, III, Zhaun Henson, Brandon Henson, Anthony Henson, and Michael Henson all of Owensboro; three daughters, Michelle Henson, Stephanie Henson and Meredith Maddox all of Owensboro; 14 grandchildren; two brothers, Anthony Henson of Owensboro and Marvin Young of Manchester, KY; seven sisters, Mandy Henning, Mary Ann Gilliam, Emma Lou Smith, Joyce Barnett, Alice Burden, Henrietta Craig, and Melissa Jane Wink all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:30 P.M.,Monday, December 15, 2003 at Christ Chapel, Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Charles M. Henson, Jr. Memorial Fund.
