Charles Neel Harrison

June 6, 1925 — August 11, 2004

Charles Neel Harrison, 79, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born June 6, 1925 to the late Elmer Neel and Beulah Winkler Harrison in Daviess County, Kentucky.

Charles served in the US Navy during WW II, retired from the Texas Gas ransmission Land Department in 1985 with more than 35 years of service, and was currently employed by RWRA as a contract landman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the Maverick Sunday School Class, the Hardees Coffee Bunch, a Kentucky Colonel and a Mason. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats, Atlanta Braves and his collie, Shelby. He was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie Hudson, in January of 2002.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years, Gaye Reynolds Harrison; 2 sons and their wives, Rev. Mike Harrison and Judi of Clarksville, TN, and Kevin Mark Harrison and Anna of Jackson, TN; 5 grandchildren, Angie, Brad, John, James and Joanie; and 3 great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 14 at Glenn Funeral Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Kentucky Baptist Home for Children or Owensboro-Daviess County Humane Society.
