Charles Alvin Gillaspie

Charles Alvin Gillaspie, 67, of Whitesville, died January 2, 2014 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. He was born March 28, 1946 in Daviess County to the late William L. and Helen Shain Gillaspie. Charles was a member of New Panther Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Shirley Allison Gillaspie; children, Charles W. (Pam) and Roger Gillaspie; step children, James Johnson, Randal Malone, Donald (Janice) Johnson Jr., and Allison (Dale) Guffy; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert L. (Paula), Ray (Ruth), Larry (Teresa), Willie, and Jimmy (Beverly) Gillaspie; sisters, Judy (Barry) Hagan, Julie (Bill) Mitchell, Mary Cooney, and Nancy (Bill) Bolton.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Monday, January 6, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory with Brother Roy Douglas presiding. Visitation will after noon on Monday at the funeral home.
