Charles Gilbert Fitzgerald, 57, of Owensboro, passed away January 14, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born February 8, 1956 in Daviess County to the late Leslie and Christine Fitzgerald. Charles was a sportsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to watch sporting events and particularly enjoyed watching golf.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Mary Fitzgerald; Sons, Gilbert Fitzgerald (Holly) and Michael Fitzgerald (Chasity); daughters, Christie Hamilton (Joe), Angie Frandsen (Jim), and Misty Burden; brothers, Leslie Fitzgerald (Reatha), Carl Fitzgerald (Patty), Michael Fitzgerald, Larry Fitzgerald, and Raymond Fitzgerald; sisters, Sandy White and Denna Sebree; and special canine friend, Baby.
Services will be 12 noon Friday January 17, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 on Friday. Burial will follow at Rosehill cemetery.
